On 10th October 2014 Listellick National School celebrated it's 150th anniversary. Celebrations kicked off at the school with Donal Spring , former pupil and Rugby International, presented an Irish Jersey framed to the school. The children has a visit from the ice-cream van man then had a balloon release. A celebration mass was held in St. Brendan's Church concelebrated by Bishop Ray Browne, Fr. Patsy Lynch, Fr. Kieran O'Brien and other priests who have connections with the school. Micheál Ó'Cinnéide, former Principal, launched our book, Listellick 150, and this was followed by an enjoyable get-together in the Marquee at the Church.
